 When traveling to Vienna by car, please take note of the rules for short-term parking zones.  Short stay parking zones are: a) District 1-9 plus 20, maximum stay 2 hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 22:00, except holidays b) Districts 12 plus 14-17 , maximum stay 3 hours , Monday to Friday , 09:00 to 19:00 , except holidays c) near Stadthalle stay 2 hours, Monday to Friday , 09:00 am to 22:00, Saturday-Sunday and holidays 18:00  - 22:00 . In all short-term parking zones you need a parking ticket from the first minute of parking, even for a brief stops. The 15 minutes free parking tickets can be obtained from your hotel. Parking tickets are available in tobacco stores, gas stations, Vienna Transport Authority ticket (Wiener Linien) , ticket vending machines and through Handyparken ( parking ticket service by mobile phone). Leave the car at a parking area near the city center and explore the beautiful capital.

 Vienna's surroundings can cheap and easy park your car and use public transport, such as underground, bus or tram to visit the city center. Parking cost is 4 euro per day. These areas are the Erdberg (boarded in line U3 underground), the Spittelau (U4), the H?tteldorf (U4), the Ottakring (U3), the Heiligenstadt (U4), the Aderklaaer St (U1), the Leopoldau (U1), the Donaustadtbr?cke (U2), the Siebenhirten (U6) and Liesing (S1).

 Start exploring city of Vienna from historic center and the Hofburg Palace. Walk along the Opera, in Goethegasse Street, turn left onto Opernring Street and after of three narrows turn right in Akademiestrasse, which ends at Karlsplatz Square and Spittelberg district with the famous market.

Don't leave Vienna without visiting the palace Schonbrunn Palace, outside of the center of the city, at Hietzing suburb. The palace represents a cross baroque architecture and is UNESCO World Heritage. Explore around Hietzing suburb by car or head to Mariahilfer Street (the most commercial street of Vienna) and see the sights on the southwest side of the city. Let your car in the Generali Center Garage -back from Mariahilfer Street (cost 3 euro / hour and 20 Euro a day) and go ahead on foot to the Museum Quartier. There beats the pulse of present Vienna. The cluster of museums includes exhibitions, movies presentation places and theaters, the tobacco museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the mathematical center and the Children's Museum Zoom.

 If you are traveling with children, all roads lead to the largest amusement park in Vienna, the Prater.  There is located the famous "Wheel of Vienna" with 200 meters height. Park is located in Leopolstadt region, in northeast of Vienna and you can park in the Prater Garage (cost 2 euro / hour and 19 Euro a day). If visit Vienna the summer months, near Leopolstadt is Danube island, with length of 21 kilometers and offers sandy beaches, activities, restaurants and bars.
