Every summer, the lake area hosts a music festival. You can also visit Maksimir Park, located at the eastern part of Zagreb. The park first opened in 1794. It is a wonderful green landscape with woodlands and lakes. The park also hosts the Zoo Maksimir where you will be able to admire a wide variety of animals, including birds and various species of fish and crocodiles, leopards, sea lions, bears and a red panda.
