All coastal areas of Montenegro have parking services where you can leave the car. In Budva region there is one main parking area and a few smaller parking places around the resort (Budva, Becici, Sveti Stefan, and Petrovac). In the Municipality of Budva there are seven parking spaces with total capacity of 1,300 vehicle seats. In the Kotor district the public parking area operates 24/7. If you plan to use the parking facilities, don't forget to pay for parking lot, otherwise the tow truck will remove your car and you will have to pay a fine of 90 euro in order to retrieve it. The parking ticket costs EUR 0.50 to EUR 1.20 per hour. The car parking areas in Petrovac are seasonal.

 In order to rent a car and drive in Montenegro, you should present upon pick up your passport (ID card with Latin characters is not enough for Europeans), valid driving license, and international driving license plus to be over 18 years old. Roads in Montenegro do not have tolls, except for Sozina tunnel between Lake Skadar and the sea. The EU citizens do not need a visa. Montenegro's official currency is euro.

 Start your road trip from the Montenegrin seaside. First stop at Sveti Stefan (Saint Stephen), a tiny island connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of land.
